Organic thyme honey “MELLIN” is produced in an area with a view of the Delphi landscape and the sea, in the thyme fields of Galaxidi of the Municipality of Delphi, which belongs to the European ecological network of regions Natura 2000.
Light and delicate in every respect, with the colour of sunshine, this honey has a lovely complexity of flavours. The length is extraordinary, with lovely meadow flowers melding with a savoury hint of thyme.
It is honey with increased healthy characteristics that are determined by a study of " Antibacterial and antioxidant properties of MELLIN Honey compared to MANUKA Honey UMF 24+ ", which was carried out by the University of Thessaly(Greece), School of Health Science.
Thyme honey exhibited antibacterial activity equal to the well-known MANUKA Honey UMF 24+.
This is the first and only university study that has been done for branded Greek honey!!!
