Manufacturer: Samythos
SKU: EL2099

Samynthos MAX Activated Sprouted Raw Tahini is a 200g jar of tahini made with organic Greek Evros sesame seeds. The sesame is activated and sprouted before crushing, then processed with monitored drying and paste temperatures.

Evros sesame from Greece

This tahini is made with sesame from Vrysika in Evros, Thrace, Greece. Evros sesame is the defining ingredient in this jar, giving the product a clear regional identity while keeping the focus on a single listed ingredient: organic Greek Evros sesame seeds.

The MAX Activated name refers to the stated production approach, in which the seeds are activated and sprouted before they are crushed into tahini.

Ingredients and allergen information

Ingredients: Organic Greek Evros sesame seeds.

Allergens: Contains: SESAME.

This product is a sesame-based tahini. Anyone with a sesame allergy should take the declared allergen statement into account before choosing it.

Activated and sprouted before crushing

For this raw tahini, Greek Evros sesame seeds are activated and sprouted before crushing. Drying and paste temperature are monitored throughout production to maintain raw processing. The producer uses purpose-built crushing equipment for this process.

These specific steps distinguish the MAX Activated preparation from a simple sesame paste description: sprouting comes before crushing, while temperature monitoring remains part of both drying and paste-making.

Flavour and texture direction

The stated flavour profile combines slight bitterness with a fresh raw sesame aftertaste. It is a direct, seed-led character suited to those looking for the distinctive taste of sesame in a smooth tahini format.

Its flavour can sit at the centre of a simple spread or blend into recipes where sesame is intended to remain noticeable rather than disappear behind other ingredients.

Ways to serve

Use this tahini as a spread, or work it into dips and dressings. It pairs with bread, fruit, honey and yoghurt, offering different serving directions from a simple spoonful on toast to a more assembled plate.

It can also be used in hummus, sauces and salad dressings. Add it where a fresh sesame note and slight bitterness suit the recipe, whether stirred into a dressing or folded into a sauce.

Storage

The unopened shelf life is 12 months. After opening, keep refrigerated. The product is supplied in a jar.
